Women’s Golf Report 25.8.24

Valley Women were pleased to welcome players from across the Goulburn Murray to our annual Jewellery Day event last Friday. Kyabram’s Jeweller generously sponsored the day and the silver bracelets which were the trophies for winners and runners up were much sought after. That the weather was kind to us was an added bonus.

The event was 4Ball Best Ball Stroke and the very happy combination of Helen Armstrong and Jan McHale from Valley View were the winners with 66 Nett. The Runners up were Mooroopna pair, Lorraine Smith and Gale Bakker who finished two shots back with 68 Nett.

Other winners on the day included Sue Byrne, Jenny Major and Leesa Barnes who took home the nearest the pins on the 15th and Sue Lowe who won the pot of gold on the 3rd.

A small field played a Stableford event on Wednesday. Two players finished with 36 points. Vonnie Morris claimed the win from Marlene Topp after the count back. Janice Johnstone was nearest the pin.

Wednesday’s event is Stableford, and we look forward to playing with our golfing friends at Parkland on Friday for our Daffodil day charity event.
