Womens Golf 3/5/2023

PENNANT: Valley View played Cobram Barooga in our first Division Two Pennant match at Shepparton. Two wins and two squares resulted in a 3/2 win for our team which at Shepparton included, Leanne Busch, Helen Emery, Jan McHale, Tracey Wade and Judy Greer who was substituting for Wanda Hacon.
Wednesday saw the beginning of our M&S Group Accounting sponsored Club Championships. Strong winds greeted players and provided many challenges for players especially on the more exposed greens. With two more rounds to go many players are still in contention.
In the daily Stroke and Medal competition which was generously sponsored by Helen Emery, Tracey Wade led the Charge in A Grade with 94-18-76 from Runner up Sharon Harrison with 101-23-78. Marilyn West was nearest the pin and Helen Emery had the lowest gross.
Wendy Cox returned the best score of the day to win B Grade and the Monthly Medal with 108-36-72. Congratulation to Wendy on winning her first Monthly Medal. Anne Hawking was runner up with 108-29-76. Gill Thorsen was nearest the pin and also returned the lowest gross score in B Grade.
