Women’s Championship Results 17/5/2023
Valley View have a new Women's Open Champion. Congratulations to Tracey Wade, who with a combined scratch score of 280 over the past three weeks, finished two shots clear of Helen Emery to claim the title and trophy.
In B Grade, Janice Johnstone with a total score of 305, reclaimed the title of Champion, having been successful three years ago. Sharon Harrison was runner up with 313.
In 1997 and 1999, Marie Watt was Valley View's C Grade Champion and in 2023 with a score of 330, she reclaimed that honour. Vonnie Morris was runner up with 341. Congratulations to all our Champions and thank you to our generous sponsors, M&S Accounting.
Our overall Nett winner for the Championships was Marilyn West with 236.
Our daily competition last Wednesday was sponsored by Terry White Chemmart. In A Grade our winner was Marilyn West, 94/21/73 from runner up Bev Lyon, 99/24/75. Leanne Busch was the scratch winner with 71 and Jenni Bauerle was nearest the pin.
In B Grade, Marie Watt had the best score of the day, 105/33/72 to claim the win. Liz Haw, 11/37/74, was runner up on a count back from Gill Thorsen, 99/25/74 whose 99 off the stick won her the B Grade Scratch and who also claimed the nearest the pin.

Pennant: Valley View's Division Two Women's Pennant team remains undefeated after playing two matches having had a bye in the first round. Playing at Rich River at Cobram Barooga on Monday 15th May, the team recorded a 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 win.
