Weekly Roundup 25/6/2023
Another brief report this week with more rain forcing the closure of our course for the second time in three weeks.
As such there was no play at the weekend and the scheduled Isaac 4 Ball event has been postponed until 8 July.
There was golf on Tuesday however with some hardy souls braving the artic blast albeit only sufficient numbers for one grade.
Peter Sherman put together the day’s best round of 34 points to get across the line by two shots from Gordon Mackay with 32 points.
Gordon took out the runner’s up voucher in a countback from David Collins and Peter Mangan who picked up balls in the ball comp along with Gavon Armstrong with 31 points.
The only other trophy winner on the day was Mick McAuliffe, fresh back from holidays in sunnier parts, who picked up the nearest the pin ball on the 3rd.
Hopefully the improved weather over the weekend will continue during the week and we can resume normal programming on Saturday with what I expect will be a Stableford round.
