Weekly Round up - Mens & Ladies results 19/2/2023
Saturday: Our first round of Par for six months produced some good scores with our winners all posting rounds of 3 up.
In A grade Brad Edwards maintained the form that won him the February Monthly Medal with a round of +3 to take the honours in a countback from Mick Gallivan.
The name Peter Sherman has been prominent on the B grade leader board of late and he also had a round of +3 which got him across the line by one shot from John Neale with +2.
Another countback was required to find our ladies’ winner with Marlene Topp getting the nod ahead of Clare Kerr after both shot rounds of +3.
Balls went to David Collins, Kelly Cheong, Wendy Cox, John McHale (all with +2) and Lindsay Tatterson with +1.
Lawrie Casey (A Grade 12th) and Tracey Wade (voucher on the 15th) were the only success stories from the tee on the par 3 holes.
On Tuesday the consistent Pooch McHale scored a comfortable four shot win in A grade with 39 points from Gordon Mackay with 35.
Peter Sherman picked up his first win of the week in B grade with 37 points from Kerry Kreeck with 36.
Paul Kuiper, Geoff Strachan and Les Hall won balls with 34 points while Lawrie Casey won the Nearest the Pin ball on the 3rd and Kelly Cheong picked up the voucher on the 15th.
Sunday Pennant: A 4-1 win on Sunday against Shepparton at Hill top confirmed our Pennant teams spot in Sunday’s final at Numurkah where it will take on Hill Top – the only team to beat Valley View in the qualifying rounds.

Gordon Mackay & David Collins won 2&1
Ed McQuienn and Lawrie Casey won 1 up
Miles Gould & Mick Coyne lost 1 down

Wednesday ladies: Jan McHale's score of 92-19-73 in Wednesday's Stroke event won her both the Nett and Scratch in A Grade. Helen Emery also finished with 92 off the stick, but lost the Scratch event on a count back, although she did win nearest the pin.
Bev Lyon was runner up with 98-24-74.
Captain, Helen Armstrong, took both Scratch and Nett events in B Grade with an impressive score of 96-25-71. Marlene Topp was runner up with 111-34-77.
