Weekly Golf Report 8/9/24

Saturday's Event - Spring has detrnitely arrived which brought out a large contingent of players for this week’s stableford evert. With the fine weather also came plenty of top scores and none better than Stephen Browne who had the best score of the day with 42 points to win B Grade from Elmore visitor Paul Pappin who took home the runner up trophy with 38 points. A Grade was a very close affair with Graeme (House of) Harrison scoring 41 points to win from a very unlucky Peter Noble with 40 points. The ladies comp saw Wendy Cox win with 40 points from Marlene Topp 39 points with a number of ladies close on their heals with 38 points. Nearest the pin results - 3rd A Grade - Kelly Cheong, B Grade - Laurie Radley, Ladies - Marlene Topp, 12th A Grade - Peter Blackmore, B Grade - Alan Hausler.

Visitor Shane Garner from Port Fairy claimed the voucher on the 15th. New member Corey Browne snagged a birdie on the 9th to win the Ky Cleaning trophy. Ball comp winners were Nat McAuliffe, Sharon Harrison & Shirley Soares all 38 points, Kelly Cheong & David Collins 35 and Von Morris & Gorey Browne with 35. Unfortunately there was no golf on Tuesday due to coring of the greens and a special thanks to al! those who participated with the work capably led byJohn McHale & Graeme Harrison.
