Weekly Golf Report 1/12/24

SATURDAY: Unfortunately course was closed Saturday due to heavy rainfall during the week and on Friday.

LADIES WEDNESDAY REPORT: Last Wednesday Valley View women enjoyed an early Christmas celebration. Our thanks to Sharon Harrison our sponsor for the day who set up the room and presentation table to bring Christmas cheer to the day.

On the course, heavy conditions after the rain, led to lower scores than recently. In the PAR event, in A Grade, Captain Helen Emery returned easily the best score of the day to finish square. Runner up was Wendy Cox who finished 4 down.

A count back was required in B Grade when three players finished 6 down. Marlene Topp was the winner and Helen Armstrong the runner up. The third player in the count back was our sponsor Sharon Harrison.

Nearest the pins were won by Helen Emery and Robyn Curnow.
