GOLF Weekly Report 5/1/25

An excellent round of 91-24-67 from Corey Browne saw him as a runaway winner both in B grade and the Monthly medal at the weekend.

Corey finished three shots clear in the hunt for the Monthly Medal (his first) from A grade duo Gordon Mackay (82-12-70) and Paul Kuiper (84-14-70) with Gordon getting the better of Paul in the countback for the A grade honours.

Ron Dixon finished as the B grade runner up with a round of 96-23-73.

Ball comp winners were Steve Hammond with (Nett 72), Daryl Harrison (73), Mick Coyne (73), Mick Gallivan (74) and Jeff Carnie (74).

Bev Lyon was the ladies’ winner from Marlene Topp though I don’t have their scores.

The duty team must have been heat affected as I can tell you that Mick McAuliffe, Corey Browne and Tracey Wade won the best gross score balls but once again my results sheets does not have their numbers.

Mick Coyne (A grade 3rd), Jeff Carnie (B grade 12th) and Steve Browne (15th) won the Nearest the Pin trophies.

This coming Saturday’s Stableford round will be the 3rd Round of the Summer Cup while Summer Pennant commences on Sunday at Nagambie.
