MIDWEEK BOWLS
> Due to the extreme weather forecast for our match against Moama Steamers on the 12th of December at Moama our match was cancelled. Our next match is on the 19th of December against Echuca at Echuca which will be our last remaining match for this year.
> Our matches resume after the Christmas and New Year break on the 16th of January where we play Rochester on our home greens on 16th of January.

> Up against Rich River at Rich River for our last match until after the break.
> Graeme Topp’s team of Leanne Busch, Dave Clavell and a sub again had
> their chances. With the scores all squared up at 12 each after thirteen ends the Valley View team picked up 3 shots over the next two ends to lead by three, 15 to 12. The Rich River team scored 4 shots in 2 ends then went on to score only one more shot on twentieth end where the Valley View team scored 5. Unfortunately Graeme’s teams difference was 3 shots down at the end of play. 17 to 20 Rod Donohue and his team of Kevin Broadhurst, Helen Ward and Alf Soden had a slow start to their match against H Freeman, having 7 shots on the card to 14 after the twelfth end. On the thirteenth end after picking up a valuable 5 shots they were only 2 shots down. Rich River were too consistent over the next eight ends picking up 10 shots to 1, giving Rich River the win 24 to 13.
> Ken Hastie skipped for Bob Greenaway, Tim Robertson- Skevington and Geoff Beamish against the rink of G Clarence. Ken’s team also started slowly with Rich River having 18 shots on the card to only 2 after eleven ends. Valley View picked up a 3 on the twelfth, both teams scored 6 more shots over the next 9 end’s meaning Rich River took the win 24 to 11.
> The overall result was a win to Rich River of 70 shots to 41.
> Our next match will be on Saturday the 20th January at Valley View against Echuca.
