This Tuesday’s match is our bye followed by the beginning of the second round against Deniliquin RSL at home on the 5th of December.

Well done.

SATURDAY PENNANT

First match up at home against Deniliquin RSL was the team skipped by Graeme Topp, with Dave Clavell and Rob Varcoe, playing with only three due to unavailability of players, they were up against B Clancy team early, starting with an impressive 4 on the 3rd end to hold a lead of 5 to 2 after 4 ends. Deniliquin served up a big 6 on the fifth end and didn’t really look back from there leading 18 to 8 after 15 ends. Both teams held 7 shots a piece over the remaining 6 ends with Deni running out winners 25 to 15.

Ken Hastie skipped for Frank Findlay, Tim Robertson-Skevington and Geoff Beamish, against N Austin and team. The Deni team opened strongly with a 6 on the second end which was hard to pull back from, although a very handy 4 shot win on the third end by Valley View wasn’t enough to get them in the game finally going down 20 to 32.

Rod Donohue’s team of Kevin Broadhurst, Helen Ward and Alf Soden weren’t able to gain any advantage over J Wilson’s team. Picking up a handy 4 shot win on the tenth end cut the margin to 6, but the Deni side continued to hold shots on 9 of the remaining 11 ends to claim the win 28 to 10.

The overall result was to Deniliquin RSL  85 to 45.

Next week match will be at Lockington.

Good bowling.
