Ladies Weekly Golf Report - 10/12/23

PENNANT: Valley View's Summer 4Ball Pennant team finished the season as runners up. The 3 1/2 to 1 1/2 result in favour of  Numurkah at Numurkah does not reflect the closeness of the matches. Only one match finished early.  Three matches finished on the 17th and 18th holes and the final match was called in when it was a square after 16 holes, as the final result was a forgone conclusion. Congratulations to the 14 players who took part in Summer Pennant.

WEDNESDAY: Sharon Harrison was our very generous sponsor last Wednesday and due to her efforts players were greeted by a Club House decorated for Christmas and ready for our Christmas lunch.

The Stableford round saw some high scores in both grades. Julie Neale was the winner in A Grade with a well above par 39 points, and Bev Lyon had a strong back nine to record 34 points to be runner up.

In B Grade, Marlene Topp also had 39 points to win from Wendy Cox with 37 points.

Tracey Wade over came the inconvenience of having to dash home to collect her forgotten golf clubs at the start of play, to claim nearest the pin and the mystery trophy.
