Ladies Weekly Golf Report 24/8/25
There was only one grade for last Wednesday’s Stableford round. Von Morris had easily the best score with 35 points. The runner up was Gill Thorsen with 31 points.
Friday’s Four Ball Best Ball Stroke event saw players from across the district contest the popular Jewellery Day competition with beautiful silver bracelets as our trophies, courtesy of Kyabram Jewellers our very generous sponsors for the day.
Goulburn Murray Captain, Di Wood and her partner Sue Lowe from Shepparton, proved to be the winning combination. They finished with the excellent score of Nett 63.
Two Valley View teams faced a count back to decide the runner up position, when both teams finished with 65 Nett. Marie Watt and Liz Haw took home the bracelets and Sharon Harrison and Tracey Wade had to be satisfied with a golf ball.
Ros Wright from Shepparton was nearest the pin on the fifteenth and Di Wood capped off her successful day by winning the Pot of Gold on the third.
Finally, congratulations to Jenni Bauerle who continued her successful run at Barham Golf Club’s two day event. Bauerle’s results in this event read: Overall runner up in 2023, overall winner in 2024 and winner in A Grade on both days and overall winner in 2025. We suspect Barham might be her favourite course.
